A very very late post

Well it is an extremely late blog but then due to unforeseen circumstances I was unable to post although i would have liked to very much. This year from late May has been a year which I will never forget. After all the hard work and with his "never die" attitude my Numero Uno finally became officially the world number one by winning Roland Garros for the fourth time and winning the most coveted crown in the tennis championship: Wimbledon by defeating the five times Wimbledon champion Federer.
The French Open victory broke some records and it was one of the most easiest wins for Rafa in a final till date.(Although Rafa will always say that each and every match is as difficult (: .)Wimbledon was a different affair altogether and that moment at 2am in the morning while patiently waiting for the match to continue after persisting rain delays when Rafael Nadal climbed the royal box to hug his family members and receive accolade from the prince and princess of Spain that moment was extremely special.

There was a moment when the match could have gone either ways in the fifth and final set when Rafa was 2 games behind but then he showed intensity of character as he held his nerve till the last moment and won. He could have easily won in straight sets but then he lost his momentum and the match was extended to a five setter but nonetheless he won.

I was so proud and happy as he finally triumphed. That moment was priceless and is one of the most well played matches at Wimbledon ever.

This year has been going for Spain all the way. The Euro 2008 was an event of great significance for the Spanish Armada as they finally triumphed after a long time.

And a very, very late comment.
But...
I FINALLY FOUND SOMEONE ELSE WHO BLOGS ABOUT TENNIS!
:D

YAYY. :)

I deleted all my tennis posts because I couldn't find other decent writers who wrote about it.
Happy I found you.(Even though my "Numero Uno" is Roger any day).

:)

P.S. Just a friendly hi! and I-love-to-hear-more-tennis-stuff-from-you thing. No unfriendly Roger vs. Rafa debate intended. :)

Oh hey great to find you here.
Well it is ok we can just appreciate the game and you would be happy to know that I have stopped hating Federer and that is something really big!!! :)
Will write more about lot of things just that I couldn't all this while as my net connection sucked.
